The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have experience in pediatrics, along with a strong understanding of occupational health principles. Responsibilities Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients with diverse needs. Conduct patient assessments and document progress towards therapy goals. Provide therapeutic exercises and activities to enhance patients’ functional abilities. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and home exercises. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards. Provide hands-on therapy to help clients develop fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living skills Educate and support families, caregivers and other involved professionals on therapy techniques for continued progress Ensure a safe and supportive environment for therapy sessions Qualifications Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) required Active Florida state license to practice as a COTA Strong communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of occupational health practices and principles is essential. Experience in pediatrics is preferred.
