North Kansas City Hospital is 48-bed Acute Rehab Unit (ARU) locatedin NKC Health Main Hospital Building. Our Unit is a very fast pacedyet fun environment with endless opportunities to learn and grow!

We have an amazing team with over 25 FT therapists! What we’relooking for: We are looking for a dynamic Certified OccupationalTherapist Assistant who is passionate about helping others and is ateam player! What you will do in this role:

  • Communicate patientprogress or problems to supervisor and other team members; instructpatient’s family or nursing staff in follow-through programs
  • Assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patientrecords
  • Document patient care in accordance with regulatory,licensing, payer and accrediting requirements
  • Maintain equipmentand work area in a safe and clean condition
  • Handle jobresponsibilities in accordance with the standards of the Company’sCode of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement,appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federallaws
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
  • Candidates musthave certification from the American Occupational TherapyAssociation (AOTA)
  • Graduate of an accredited AmericanOccupational Therapy Assistant program culminating in anAssociate’s degree
  • Current and valid state AOTA license orcertificate of practice or equivalent in the states where servicesare rendered
  • Inpatient experience preferred
  • CPR certification(when required)
