The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services to patients across various settings, including skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, inpatient care, and home health environments. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and physiology, as well as the ability to work with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics. Duties Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans designed by the Occupational Therapist. Provide direct patient care in various settings such as skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, and home health. Conduct therapeutic activities aimed at improving patients’ daily living skills and overall quality of life. Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes in compliance with facility policies. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and home exercise programs. Maintain a clean and organized treatment environment while adhering to safety protocols. Requirements Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program. Experience in skilled nursing facilities, outpatient settings, or acute care preferred. Knowledge of medical imaging techniques is a plus. Familiarity with medical terminology and basic physiology knowledge is essential. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including pediatrics. Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
