PrecisionCare Responsibilities:

The CertifiedOccupational Therapy Assistant(COTA) will: Reviewmedical records and verifyMDs orders and the Occupational Therapists assessment prior to implementing OT treatment Communicatewith supervisor regarding persons receiving services in the areas of cognitive/perceptual skills, sensor-motor, musculoskeletal status, CNS status, the use of assistive technology and adaptive equipment needs (e.g., ADL devices). Conferwith Physician and other Healthcare Practitioners to obtain additional information on persons receiving services Writespecific, objective, and measurable documentation, which is outcome oriented and details the persons receiving services needs, potential to benefit from treatment, and progress achieved to date Providetraining to persons receiving services, families and/or direct care staff in specific supportive programs Participateand attendcare plan/team meetings as needed for persons receiving OT services Implementa treatment plan, includingROM, therapeutic exercise, cognitive/perceptual re-training, ADL, wheelchair mobility, pre-vocational skills, and application of physical agent modalities Handle other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant school NYS CertifiedOccupational Therapy Assistant(COTA)license Knowledge in the use of mobility devices and therapeutic exercises Microsoft Office proficient Great interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong attention to detail Highly organized

Desired Skills:

Experience with wheelchair assessment Experience working with people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
