Job Summary The Doctor of Occupational Therapy Program in the Department of Rehabilitation is seeking one new faculty member for a 12-month clinical or tenure-track appointment beginning July 1, 2025, to teach in the OTD program. The successful candidate is expected to participate as a full faculty member with all relevant duties, responsibilities, and benefits. The faculty member in this position is responsible for teaching in the area of content expertise (neuroscience, pathophysiology, neurological dysfunction) to assist occupational therapy students with knowledge acquisition and knowledge application necessary for entry-level practice in accordance with the accreditation standards and curriculum. The faculty member engages in service, scholarly activity, and supports the mission and vision of the university, department, and program. Candidates considered for a tenure-track position must possess a terminal academic doctoral degree by the start date and demonstrate the potential for research productivity. Faculty rank commensurate with education and experience. Some appointments may be eligible for tenure. Clinical track appointments may be convertible to tenure-track no later than the end of year three of the appointment. The Department of Rehabilitation is a growing multidisciplinary department with over 22 faculty and staff offering graduate programs in a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy, Doctorate in Physical Therapy, and a Master of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics. The department is located within the College of Health Sciences, which includes numerous programs, including Speech and Language Pathology, Audiology, Social Work, and Allied Health Sciences. The College is part of the University’s Academic Health Sciences Division, which also houses the James H. Quillen College of Medicine, the Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy, the College of Public Health, and the College of Nursing. Minimum of 1-year Doctoral-level OT teaching experience and new program/curricular development
