Job Summary AnOptical Technician will achieve a world class Total PatientExperience that both maximizes retail sales while also supportingthe patients medical needs. This team member is trained to dispenseand fit glasses and contacts, working from the prescriptionswritten by Optometrists and Ophthalmologists. They connect thepatient needs to the goods and services offered.

Dutiesand Responsibilities (Responsibilities necessary to accomplish jobfunctions) Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience tobuild relationships with all patients while delivering greatmedical support Determine patient wants and needs and selling toexceed their expectations Assist patients in selecting framesaccording to style and color, coordinating frames with facial andeye measurements and optical prescriptions Able to operate theauto-lensometer and manual lensometer Educate and recommendspecific lenses, lens coatings and frames to suit patient needs Canaccurately collect measurements such as bridge, eye size, templelength, seg heights, vertex distance, pupillary distance, andpantoscopic tilt Dispense patient orders and repair and adjustpatient frames Dispense all glasses and/or contact lens ordersusing current process Acknowledge patients in a friendly,approachable way that invites them into the office Maintain framestandards with cleaning, organization, full and well-presentedareas Follow all protocols to keep Frame inventory accurate Desireto gain industry knowledge and training Demonstrates initiative inaccomplishing practice goals Consistently creating a positive workenvironment by being team-oriented and patient-focused Commitmentto work hours that meet the needs of the business which may includeweekends, schedule changes or an extended schedule Adheres to allsafety policies and procedures in performing job duties andresponsibilities while supporting a culture of high quality andgreat customer service.
