Job Summary An OptometricTechnician is a valuable asset to an optometrist as they assist inproviding a world class Total Patient Experience. This team memberis able to handle a wide range of duties while using opticalequipment to perform the initial testing needed to prepare apatient for an exam with an Optometrist.

SECTION 2

Duties andResponsibilities (Responsibilities necessary to accomplish jobfunctions) Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience tobuild relationships with all patients while delivering greatmedical support Display a professional attitude, greet patientspromptly with a smile, and thank them when they leave Comply withall company policies and procedures including HIPAA Practiceurgency at all times placing value on a patients time, as well asthe doctors time and schedule Operate manual lensometer,auto-lensometer, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visualfield, GDX or OCT Follow scripting for testing equipment (photos,visual fields, visual activity, etc.) Clean all examinationequipment including tonometer tip Set phoropter to patient RX orre-set to plano (per doctors request) Ability to interact with alllevels of employees in a courteous, professional manner at all timeGeneral office duties and cleaning to be assigned by manager Desireto gain industry knowledge and training Demonstrates initiative inaccomplishing practice goals Consistently creating a positive workenvironment by being team-oriented and patient-focused Commitmentto work hours that meet the needs of the business which may includeweekends, schedule changes or an extended schedule Adheres to allsafety policies and procedures in performing job duties andresponsibilities while supporting a culture of high quality andgreat customer service.
