Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Optometric Technician to enhance our patient care team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about making a positive impact on people’s lives daily and who excel in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient workups, including blood pressure, IOP, visual acuity, and color vision assessments.
- Perform specialized diagnostic tests (OCT, Visual Fields, Digital Photography, ERG, VEP).
- Assist physicians in patient care and provide patient education.
- Coordinate patient care plans with administrative staff and manage patient flow.
Qualifications:
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and internet use.
- Experience in optometry, customer service, hospitality, or a medical office is preferred (minimum 1 year).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Eager to learn; we provide comprehensive training for the right candidate.
Certification required within first year of employment.
Employment Details:
5 days per week (7:45 AM – 5:00 PM).
