Ophthalmic Technician – Clinical Research Team Coastal Eye Greenwich, CT 06830 Are you an experienced ophthalmic technician ready to take your skills into the world of clinical research? Coastal Eye , a leading ophthalmology practice and research site, is hiring a full-time Ophthalmic Technician to support our clinical trials team. This is a hands-on, on-site role ideal for someone who thrives in a patient-focused, high-quality care environment and is curious about clinical research. Prior clinical research experience is preferred, but not required. However, experience as an ophthalmic technician IS required. Responsibilities Perform all standard ophthalmic technician tasks (BCVA testing, OCT, fundus photos, IOP measurement, etc.) Work directly with clinical trial participants as part of a structured research protocol Collect and document data with precision and accuracy Maintain subject records Enter visit data into sponsor EDC in timely manner; respond to sponsor queries Support the principal investigator and research staff in ensuring protocol compliance Help maintain study equipment and logs according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
What We’re Looking For:
Prior experience as an ophthalmic technician (COA, COT, or equivalent experience preferred) Familiarity with ophthalmic diagnostic equipment Detail-oriented and organized, with strong documentation skills Comfortable learning new systems and working in a regulated environment Clinical research experience is highly preferred, but not required —we’ll train the right candidate!
