The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting ophthalmologists in various clinical tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist ophthalmologists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. Conduct preliminary tests including visual acuity, tonometry, and refraction. Accurately document patient information and maintain electronic health records using systems such as Epic. Educate patients on pre-operative and post-operative care instructions. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Support the clinic’s retail sales by providing product recommendations and assisting patients with their eyewear needs. Collaborate with team members to enhance patient experience and clinic efficiency. Stay updated on advancements in ophthalmic technology and procedures. Qualifications

AT LEAST

5+ years of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and patient care practices. Familiarity with medical coding and billing processes is advantageous. Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient interaction. Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks. Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and clinic operations.
