Full Job Description Responsibilities:
- Assist optometrist with patient care, including pre-testing and diagnostic procedures.
- Perform visual acuity and other vision tests.
- Obtain patient medical history and update records.
- Educate patients on proper contact lens insertion, removal, and care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and equipment.
- Assist with front desk duties, including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an optometric technician or in a similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Understanding of medical office procedures, including medical billing and insurance verification is a plus.
