Job Summary:
The role of an Ophthalmic Scribe will increase the efficiency and productivity of the physician in the clinic setting. The scribe must be able to anticipate physician needs, communicate clearly to patients and staff members, and effectively multi-task in order to facilitate clinic flow. Due to the nature of the business, this position will be required to travel to multiple locations, based on clinic needs.

401k & Profit Sharing-After 1 year Requirements Basic understanding of Medical Terminology (preferably ophthalmology) Must be proficient using desktop applications and be able to type at 40 WPM or greater Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to multi-task and function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment Comply with HIPPA confidentiality standards when accessing or communicating patient information International Eye Associates is a drug-free workplace. All potential hires will be required to take and clear a pre-employment drug screen upon job offer.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements (specifically keyboarding and writing), standing, walking, squatting and sitting, with some lifting, pushing and pulling up to 10 pounds. Travel to other offices, including Surgery Center, as needed
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum one year of experience in a medical practice or hospital setting preferred Experience in an ophthalmology practice preferred COA/COT certification is preferred
