Teamwork Highest level of Individual Productivity Technical Excellence Treating patients as valued guests Reporting to the Practice Manager the Technician assists Doctors with patient coordination and preparation, performing patient visual tests and ensuring patient charts are updated and accurate to deliver the highest level of service. Primary Responsibilities Perform visual acuity testing and assist physicians in minor office procedures. Record, review and verify patient information in the EMS and chart for the appointment. Assist ophthalmology patients by providing information and services; patient evaluations, vision health testing, lens fitting and care orientations. Counsel and educate patients by reiterating physician orders for eye care. Update patient records using high level of proficiency within the EMS or other related system. Assist the physician with documentation of the patient’s medical record. Comply with all HIPPA regulations in all interactions with patient information Other related duties as assigned

EDUCATION

High School graduate/GED equivalent 3+ years prior ophthalmic technician experience COT or COA certification preferred
