Job Description
Ophthalmic Technician
- Training Included Eye Health Vision 51 State Road, Dartmouth, MA 02747 Claris Vision (Eye Health Vision) is currently looking for a full-time technician to join our busy practice.
If you have a year of experience in the healthcare field and would like to be an Ophthalmic Technician, we will provide training to set you up for success in this role. This role includes, but is not limited to the following tasks:
Duties/Responsibilities:
Obtain medical and eye history from patient and document information using the EHR system Prepare examination and treatment rooms Perform screening and testing (will train) to prepare the patient for doctor’s exam including visual acuity, color vision testing, auto-lensometry, autorefraction, tonometry, Amsler grid, pupil evaluation, and other testing as needed Administer eye medications May assist physicians during minor surgical procedures Will train to maintain and calibrate ophthalmic and surgical instruments Must have a clear understanding of company policies including the company manual You will be required to travel to other location for business needs.

Must possess the physical, mental, and cognitive skills needed to complete essential tasks, including abilities such as learning, remembering, focusing, categorizing, and integrating information for comprehension, problem-solving, and timely decision-making. Driving independently to other facilities
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required 1 year experience in the healthcare field. We are willing to provide training. Medical experience preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
Sitting, Standing, Bending, Reaching, Stooping, Walking and Lifting Ability to see, hear, and speak with sufficient capability to perform assigned tasks Driving independently to other facilities
Working Conditions:
Travel to other locations is necessary. Occupational Exposure
