Optometric Assistant Responsibilities:
1. Welcome and assist patients upon their arrival at the office.2. Obtain and update patient records, including medical history and personal information.3. Conduct initial eye examinations and tests as needed.4. Provide clear explanations of procedures and address any patient inquiries.5. Aid in fitting and educating patients on the use of contact lenses.
Diagnostic Testing Duties:
1. Administer visual acuity assessments, glaucoma screenings, and other diagnostic tests.2. Operate and ensure the proper maintenance of diagnostic equipment.
