Optometric Technician Job Summary:
Are you ready to join a dynamic team at Paul Vision Institute? We’re seeking an energetic individual to fill the role of Ophthalmic Technician. As part of our team, you’ll directly engage with patients, perform medical imaging and testing, assist in scheduling, and ensure exceptional customer service with a professional, friendly, and caring demeanor.
What You’ll Do:
Perform preliminary tests such as measuring visual acuity, depth perception, and color perception, checking intraocular pressure and visual field testing. Support optometrists in gathering patient medical history and performing diagnostic tests. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for each patient. Ensure meticulous attention to detail and multi-task effectively Handle administrative duties and maintain patient records accurately Utilize strong computer skills and proficiency in practice management software
Our Ideal Candidate Has:
Positive attitude and strong customer service focus and team mentality Prior experience in a medical or administrative environment or an attitude to learn more Ability to work independently and with groups with effective time management skills A desire for growth in a successful medical practice
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a retail or clinical setting is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medical billing procedures. Ability to perform basic clinical tasks such as measuring vital signs. Strong physiology knowledge related to eye anatomy and function.
