 Medical (Ophthalmic)

Technicians Main Duties:

• Interview patient; perform initial work-up on patients as well as diagnostic tests under the direction of the physician.
• Act as a scribe while physician examines patient, entering data into electronic medical records.
• Oversees patient flow.
• Assisting physicians with in-office procedures, ensuring proper informed consent is obtained.
• Sets up and cleans up from procedures.
• Assists with patient education.
• Complies with all practice procedures and protocols. Complies with State and Federal Regulations.
• Maintains positive attitude consisting of cooperation, self-motivation, courtesy and professionalism.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED required
• Certification through JCAHPO helpful
• Advanced computer skills
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred
