Travel In-Home Optometric Technician MeaeCare, Inc.
New York, NY Job Summary:
MeaeCare, Inc. is looking for skilled and caring Optometric Technicians to perform in-home retinal screenings . Your main responsibility will be taking images of patients’ retinas to help detect diabetic retinopathy . This job requires regular travel (both local and nationwide) and offers a flexible schedule, independence, and the chance to make a real impact on people’s eye health.

Key Responsibilities:
Travel to patients’ homes to take retinal images using portable optometry equipment. Perform diabetic eye screenings and collect basic health information. Ensure clear, accurate imaging and proper patient documentation. Educate patients on eye health and the importance of early detection. Follow all safety and cleaning protocols for equipment and patient visits. Submit reports and screening results on time.
What We’re Looking For:
High school diploma (associate’s degree or optometric training preferred). Certification or experience as an Optometric Technician . Experience with retinal cameras (such as Optos or fundus photography). Strong attention to detail and professional bedside manner. Comfortable using computers and digital health tools. Willingness to travel (nationwide) up to 23 days/month. Must have a reliable vehicle for local travel.

Pay range:
