Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and organized Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. As a Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing medical support and ensuring smooth operations in a medical office or clinic setting.

Duties:

• Obtain and record patient history
• Check visual acuities, applanation, dilation
• Perform testing ie. OCT, Visual Field, iOL Master, Auto-Refraction
• Assist during surgical procedures
• Maintains safe, secure and healthy work environment by following policies and procedures; complies with all legal regulations

Skills:

• Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably in a medical or dental office setting
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Proficiency in using computer systems and software for data entry and scheduling purposes
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to interact with patients, staff, and healthcare professionals
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally, particularly in emergency environments
