Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and organized Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. As a Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing medical support and ensuring smooth operations in a medical office or clinic setting.
Duties:
- Obtain and record patient history
- Check visual acuities, applanation, dilation
- Perform testing ie. OCT, Visual Field, iOL Master, Auto-Refraction
- Assist during surgical procedures
- Maintains safe, secure and healthy work environment by following policies and procedures; complies with all legal regulations
Skills:
- Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably in a medical or dental office setting
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software for data entry and scheduling purposes
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to interact with patients, staff, and healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally, particularly in emergency environments
