The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of optical systems and demonstrate proficiency in both technical and customer service aspects of the role. Experience not necessary but compensation will vary with experience level. As an Optical Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the fitting and adjustment of eyewear, processing orders with user friendly software, utilizing patient insurance coverages and ensuring that patients receive the highest quality service and care. Duties Assist in the fitting, adjustment, and repair of eyewear for patients. Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe working environment. Provide exceptional front desk support, including greeting patients and managing appointments. Apply knowledge of anatomy and physiology to assist in patient assessments. Handle medical billing processes accurately and efficiently. Collaborate with medical office systems to ensure seamless patient care. Engage in sales activities by recommending appropriate optical products based on patient needs. Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory and track sales performance. Qualifications Strong knowledge of optical systems and equipment. Familiarity with aseptic techniques is preferred. Experience in a front desk or customer service role within a medical office setting is advantageous. Solid understanding of anatomy and physiology as it relates to vision care. Proficiency in medical billing practices is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and team members.
