What You’ll Do:
Assist our doctors in providing patient care and performing eye exams. Take patient medical histories and conduct preliminary eye tests. Administer diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, color vision, and depth perception. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including dilation. Perform diagnostic procedures such as tonometry, pachymetry, and visual field testing. Educate patients on eye care procedures and treatment plans. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records. Clean and maintain ophthalmic equipment and instruments.
What You’ll Need:
At least 1 year of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician preferred, but we are willing to train the right person! Certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or willingness to obtain certification. Strong technical skills and ability to operate ophthalmic equipment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems. Familiarity with medical terminology and eye care procedures.
Education:
High School Graduate or equivalent required. Certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) preferred.
Compensation:
