Optician Lakeview Eye Care 2024 Gunter Ave, Guntersville, AL 35976 Our independent, family-oriented optometry office and optical boutique in Guntersville is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will be available full-time, Monday through Friday, and excited to begin—or continue—a career in opticianry. Flexibility is important, as this role involves cross-training in multiple areas of the office, including reception and technician duties. Compensation will be based on skills assessment, experience, and certifications. Job Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service to patients Perform (or be willing to quickly learn) optician duties, including: Assisting patients with frame and lens selection Ordering and dispensing glasses Adjusting and fitting eyewear Taking precise lens measurements Managing orders, inventory, and billing Greet and check in patients Schedule appointments and answer phone calls Communicate with labs, vendors, and patients Process insurance benefits, especially VSP Perform a variety of clerical and clinical tasks Be willing to cross-train in other office roles as needed Qualifications ABO certification preferred but not required Optical or optometric experience preferred; however, strong candidates without experience will be considered Retail or customer service experience is a plus Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Willingness to learn and grow professionally Comfortable working with patients of all ages Basic computer literacy For questions or to apply, please contact: drjodibaker@lakevieweye.com
