Optician Truly Eye Care 4750 The Grove Drive, Windermere, FL 34786 Truly Eye Care is seeking an experienced, ambitious, motivated, sales-oriented individual with exceptional customer service skills to join our team as an Optician/Optical Manager. Qualified candidates should be licensed and have a minimum of 2 years eyecare, sales, and finishing lab experience. We offer a highly competitive salary. This an exceptional opportunity for the right person. The Optician position is responsible for merchandising, selling, and eyewear services. They will assist and educate patients on their selection of eyeglass frames, lenses, and lens enhancements. They are responsible for supervising all duties in the optical area, including placing orders to maintain inventory, dispensing, lab finishing, and repairs and adjustments to eyeglasses. This position also requires office work and assisting patients with appointments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Eyewear sales Finishing lab Ensure accurate patient information is obtained Ensure that correct products are created per specifications per order Ability to make recommendations based on prescription, and latest fashion trends and patients’ needs Compliance with Truly Eye Care’s policies and procedures and HIPPA guidelines Performs eyewear maintenance as needed Performing other duties as assigned Assist in cleaning and maintenance of the retail space to keep it organized and inviting for our customers Assist in maintaining inventory Assist in the store opening and closing processes Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication Dispense, adjust and repair glasses to ensure the customer is completely satisfied with the way the look and feel Assist and educate customers with eyeglasses and lens selections Essential Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Knowledge of current ophthalmic products and optical measurements required. Knowledge of EHR software such as Crystal PM, Revolution, or similar. Excellent oral and written communication skills, bilingual in Spanish will be a plus. Passion for fashion and style, and helping customers find frames that fit their personality Two or more years of optical/eye care experience Organized and detail oriented All technical duties of an Optician Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
