We are looking for an experienced optician/technician to join our growing optical team in providing on-site vision testing to employees at locations in Overland Park / Kansas City area 3-5 days per week.

On-site Event Responsibilities:

• Travel to local companies Kansas City area
• 8-9 hour on-site shifts with 10-20 minute employee vision assessments using optical equipment (autorefractor, lensometer, etc.)
• Use of Eyelation software platform to submit employee data to telehealth network of licensed optometrists/ophthalmologists
• Employee measurement and frame fitting for prescription safety glasses
• On-site employee assistance with safety eyewear orders via Eyelation ecommerce website
• Frame selection guidance based upon prescription compatibility

Non-Event Days Responsibilities:

• Measure and fit people for safety glasses using our online software system
• Online order processing using company software programs
• Communication with manufacturing lab partners (when necessary)
• Answer customer service phone calls to address customer optical questions/order issues
• Answer customer service emails to address customer optical questions/order issues
• Process product returns or refunds via phone/email

Skills:

• Experience with visual acuity testing
• Experience with PD (pupillary distance) and seg height measurements
• Familiarity with eyewear frame fitting procedures
• Optical equipment experience (autorefractor, lensometer, trial lens kits)
• Knowledge of prescription lenses
• Experience with troubleshooting customer prescription lens and/or vision issues
• Basic computer skills (email, excel, etc.

)
