Duties Greet patients and assist them in selecting suitable eyewear tailored to their individual needs and preferences. Measure patients’ eyes to ensure the proper fit of glasses and contact lenses, ensuring accuracy in prescription fulfillment. Maintain and update medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide information on product features, benefits, and pricing to enhance the customer experience. Collaborate with optometrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Handle retail transactions, including sales processing and inventory management using retail math principles. Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance. Stay informed about the latest trends in eyewear fashion and technology. Experience Previous experience in optical sales or a similar role is required. Familiarity with medical records management Understanding of basic physiology related to vision care is beneficial. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.
