We are seeking a dedicated Optician to provide exceptional service and expertise in eyewear selection and fitting. Key Responsibilities:
Assist patients in selecting eyewear that suits their needs and preferences. Measure, fit, and adjust frames and lenses for comfort and accuracy. Interpret optical prescriptions and prepare work orders for the lab. Inspect and verify the accuracy of finished eyewear per prescription and industry standards. Educate patients on proper eyeglass care and maintenance. Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and sales transactions. Ensure a clean and organized optical area while managing inventory. Assist with basic eyewear repairs and adjustments. Collaborate with doctors and other team members to provide seamless patient care.
What We’re Looking For:
Required:
High school diploma or GED. Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor. Basic computer skills for entering prescriptions and processing orders. Ability to work Saturdays and occasional overtime as needed. Willingness to travel to our other clinics when needed. Ability to multitask in a busy environment and maintain HIPAA compliance. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and work in a dynamic setting.
Preferred:
Previous experience as an Optician or Optical Dispenser. Contact lens fitting experience. American Board of Opticianry (ABO) certification. Why Join Us?
