Frame Stylist Job Description:

Provide a hands-on frame styling experience for patients by pulling/showing them frames tailored to their style and need. Measure customers for pupil distance, vertex distance, segment height, etc. Comfortable using pupillometer and millimeter ruler. Provide glasses and contact lenses by filling written optical prescriptions. Checking in and inspecting glasses orders for quality measures and accuracy of prescription. Experience with lensometer required. Assist with frame inventory management and meeting with frame vendors to select new frames. Glasses adjustments in-office and mild repairs. Ordering glasses through our lab AND through vision insurance payer websites. Filing insurance for all optical claims. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in this area. We currently accept most vision plans at this time. Must be comfortable with computers and electronic health records. Training will be provided for the system that we use. We are a small private practice, but we are growing and changing! Therefore, teamwork, inclusion, and a positive attitude are a requirement to work in our office. Staff is cross-trained to help each other and work in various areas of the clinic when needed (answering phones, scheduling appointments, helping seat patients in the exam room, etc). Paid vacation and holiday days included. Simple IRA, which new staff are eligible for after 90-day trial period, is also offered.
