QUALIFICATIONS
Business acumen, self-discipline, and the ability to deal tactfully with patients. Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity. Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited optometry school. Successful completion of the National Board examination and a National, Regional, or State clinical examination. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity and diagnose ocular conditions. Provide patient care by developing treatment plans and prescribing corrective lenses. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on eye health, proper contact lens use, and preventive care. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to manage pediatric cases and complex ocular conditions. Utilize EMR systems for efficient patient management and documentation.
