• This position is part of the VBA MDE (VeteransBenefits Administration Medical Disabilities Examinations)program.
• Start date:
• ASAP Pending Training & Credentialing

• Schedule:

• Part Time, Monday-Friday
• C&P exams (Compensationand Pension Exams)
• Gain valuable professional experience and helpmake a difference in the lives of Americas heroes

• Your DailyResponsibilities:

• Review pertinent medical history documentationand perform one-time, non-treatment vision compensation and pensionexams for Veterans
• Capture responses during exam through aweb-based examination form; all documentation is completedelectronically
• Visual Field Testing may be required and allequipment will be supplied
• Exams are a comprehensive eye exam toevaluate for loss of vision, glaucoma, injury to eye, etc.; norefractive services
• What Youll Need to Qualify for this

Role:

• Must be an actively licensed Optometrist or Ophthalmologist
• Mustbe able to work independently and as part of a team, have goodinterpersonal skills and willingness to be flexible and adapt tochanging situations
• Must possess basic computer skills and be ableto complete online documentation
• Compensation exam or VAexperience is preferred, but not required
• Current CPR and BLS
