Our model prioritizes efficiency and clinical excellence, allowing doctors to concentrate on patient education, disease diagnosis, and refractive treatment recommendations. Our highly trained technicians handle all pretesting and in-lane procedures. They set the phoropter, record visual acuities, and pre-fill the entire exam in the EHR system. This workflow allows doctors to dedicate their time to the core clinical components: refraction, slit lamp examination, and Optos review—ultimately providing each patient with precise visual guidance and tailored solutions for their eyecare needs. A typical exam flow looks like this: The doctor reviews the patient’s chart, chief complaint, previous glasses prescription, autorefraction data, and Optos images in advance via the EHR. Upon entering the exam room, the doctor introduces themselves, confirms the chief complaint, performs the refraction and slit lamp evaluation, and reviews the Optos results with the patient. The visit concludes with education on how glasses or contact lenses will best meet the patient’s visual and lifestyle needs. Our goal is to create a smooth, efficient, and rewarding experience for both our patients and our doctors.
