Join Lunette Optic, multiple winner of Best of Boston, with 7 locations in the greater Boston area. We are a private, full-scope, boutique optometry practice that is OD owned and operated. This role involves conducting comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing visual disorders, and providing appropriate treatment options to enhance patient well-being. The Optometrist will also be responsible for maintaining accurate medical records while ensuring HIPAA compliance. Perfect opportunity for an OD seeking employment in a private, patient- centric medical optometry practice. Seeking a candidate that is very comfortable fitting contact lenses and providing primary care optometry. Responsibilities Perform thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases. Diagnose and manage various ocular conditions, including refractive errors, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy. Prescribe corrective lenses and other treatment options based on individual patient needs. Educate patients about eye health, proper contact lens use, and preventive care. Maintain detailed medical records of patient examinations and treatments in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and technologies. Qualifications Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution. MA OD license with Glaucoma +TPA certification. Contact Lens Fitting experience. Experience in pediatrics is a plus but not required. Proficiency in managing medical records and understanding HIPAA regulations. Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and education. Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team environment.
