Job Description
Optometrist Weaver Eye Care Associates, Inc. 7185 Bernville Road, Bernville, PA 19506 Weaver Eye Care Associates is a growing multi-location private optometry practice in Bernville, PA and Kutztown, PA. We are looking for an associate optometrist to work either part-time or full-time at both offices. The optometrist should have a great personality and excellent clinical skills to diagnose and manage ocular disease, including glaucoma, dry eye, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, etc. Determining accurate prescriptions for eyeglasses and contact lenses and experience with using electronic medical records (Revolution EHR) are essential to the position, as well as knowledge with correct billing using CPT and ICD-10 codes.
Details on the position:
$600/day (negotiable) 1-5 days/week Clinic hours vary throughout the week at each location. Part-time hours may be at only one location. Full-time hours will be split between offices. Patients booked every 15 to 45 minutes. You may see an average of 15+ patients/day. Friendly and experienced staff allowing optometrist to focus on providing eye care. Potential for growth from associate to partnership or ownership. OCT, fundus photography, VF and corneal topography available to use at the offices. Requirements:
Doctorate of Optometry from an accredited institution License in good standing in the state of Pennsylvania DEA License (optional) National Provider Identification (NPI, Type 1 Individual) Professional Liability Insurance (2M/4M preferred)
Responsibilities:
Perform entrance vision tests, refraction, contact lens evaluation, ocular health assessment. Tech help available for specialized testing (VF, OCT, etc.) Diagnose and treat/manage diseases of the eye Order ancillary testing to manage patients: OCT, visual field, fundus photography, etc. Proper billing and coding with CPT and ICD-10 Accurately prescribe medications, eyeglasses and contact lenses Refer to ophthalmologists for surgery and/or consultations
