Optometrist Brookhaven Family Eye 4106 4114 Edgmont Avenue, Brookhaven, PA 19015 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, including eye examinations, diagnosis of visual disorders, and prescribing corrective lenses. The Optometrist will also play a key role in educating patients about eye health and ensuring they receive the highest quality of care. Responsibilities Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases. Diagnose and treat various visual disorders, including refractive errors. Prescribe corrective lenses and other vision aids as necessary. Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery. Educate patients on proper eye care practices and the importance of regular check-ups. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Perform Retinal Imaging with Eidon equipment. Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and technologies. Requirements Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution. Valid state optometry license. Familiarity with aseptic techniques and medical coding practices. Experience in pediatrics is a plus but not mandatory. Excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive patient experience. Ability to provide compassionate patient care while maintaining professionalism. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
