RESPONSIBLE FOR
The Paramedic ,under the supervision of the Professional Registered Nurse and/orPhysician is responsible for facilitating age-appropriate,culturally and ethnically sensitive care, maintaining a safeenvironment, educating patients and their families, collectinginformation, communicating effectively, and utilizing technology.
The Paramedic participates in the assessment, planning,implementation, and evaluation of the delivery of health careservices and task. The role of the Paramedic Nurse Extender also,includes patient advocacy, teaching, performance improvement, andthe oversight of unlicensed personnel.
Qualifications:
MINIMUMEDUCATION REQUIRED
High school graduate or equivalent.
MINIMUMEXPERIENCE REQUIRED
None
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREDBY LAW
Current certification as a Paramedic in the State ofGeorgia required, National Registry preferred
ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS
BLS. Must be ACLS certified, or be able to becomecertified immediately.
