JobSummaryAssesses, transports and administers basic and advanced lifesupport treatment to ill and injured persons in accordance withdepartment, system and South Carolina DHEC policies, procedures andstandards.

Verifies operational readiness of vehicles and equipment Maintain cleanliness of MCAS vehicles Responds to calls received from the Dispatch Center Operates MCAS vehicles in a safe, courteous and efficientmanner Assesses, monitors, transports and provides necessary medicaltreatment Prepares written documentation Attends staff meetings Performs POC testing with approval of Administration Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/ManagementResponsibilitiesThis is a non-management job that will report to asupervisor, manager, director, or executive.

Minimum Requirements Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent OR post-highschool diploma/highest degree earned. Completion of ApprovedParamedic Training Program Experience
  • One (1) year pre-hospital care experiencepreferredIn Lieu Of In lieu of a SC Driver’s License, a valid driver’s license,from a state other than South Carolina, may be accepted if primaryresidence is not SC.

The required active South Carolina ANDNational Registry EMS certification meets the educationalrequirements for this role. A Provisional SC Paramedic certification meets education andParamedic certification requirements but are required to obtainconventional South Carolina certification and NREMT certificationbefore the provisional certification expires.

  • SC Driver’s License:

    Valid driver’s license and anacceptable five-year motor vehicle record as defined by theAcceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Chart BCLS

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support ACLS
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support PALS(Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • Required within 90 daysof hire NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • Required within 90 daysof hire PHTLS (Prehospital Trauma Life Support)
  • PreferredKnowledge,Skills and Abilities Working knowledge of patient equip (Vitals, suction,defib) Working knowledge of Cardiac Monitor, Defibrillator, PulseOximeter, Non-Invasive BP Monitor, Infusion Pumps, OtherEquipment Ability to demonstrates skill proficiency on an annualbasis Ability to maintains Professional Certifications by attendingin-service training programsWork ShiftVariable (United States ofAmerica)LocationMobile Care Ambulance ServicesFacility1024 PrismaHealth EMSDepartment10247256 Ambulance ServicesShare your talentwith us!
