Job Description

The ED Paramedic- Intercept will staff the paramedic intercept vehicle and the emergency department.

Promotes and maintains the philosophy, values, standards of performance, and goals of the organization and the department. Communicates effectively with all members of the healthcare team to maintain patient safety and achieve desired outcomes.

Provides Advanced Life Support level services to the community by responding to 911 calls on the Cheshire Medical Center ALS Paramedic Intercept unit. Initiates State of NH patient treatment protocols as appropriate. Presents professionally. Performs as part of the patient care delivery team in the Emergency Department with responsibilities including: Assessments, Cardiac Monitoring, O2 Therapy, Airway Management, EKGs, Phlebotomy, IV Therapy, Medication Administration, Splinting, Crutch Fitting, Suture set up, Vital Sign measurement and patient discharges. High School Diploma or GED; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred. 3-5 years of providing 911 service at the Paramedic level, CCP-C Preferred.

Nationally Registered Paramedic – NH state license within 30 days of hire.

CPR certified on hire;

ACLS/PALS

within 90 days (American Heart Required).Driver license – valid; Satisfactory Driving Record. •
