What you will do Works collaborately with other Pediflite team members toprovide high quality pre-hospital and inter-facility advancedcritical care. Transports patients via ground or air while practicing inaccordance with philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards ofthe hospital. Functions within the guidelines of the protocols forthe transport program. Responsible for assisting the team leader in obtainingpertinent neonatal and child hood histories, performing physicalassessments and management plans. Performs necessary diagnostic andtherapeutic procedures within the scope of practice of aparamedic. Identifies, plans, implements, and evaluates the stabilizationof emergency care of the acutely ill neonates, infants, children,and/or adolescents as team lead or in collaboration with the teamleader and medical control physicians. Performs diagnosistic and therapeutic procedures as indicatefor identification and management of problems including airwaymanagement and assessment. This include but not limited toendotracheal intubation and mechanical ventilation. Functions as a medical flight member by attending pre-missionbriefings and mission debriefings and completes necessarydocumentation. Assists in pre-mission liftoff checklist and assistspilot as requested, i.e., radio, navigational, and visualobservation activities. Complies with safety standards to assure safety of self,medical personnel, patient, and equipment. Conducts aircraft safetybriefings as needed. May perform as team leader and assist in delivery of patientcare using age and developmentally appropriate interventionsaccording to individual licensure, departmental protocols, andstandards of care.

Physical Demands The physical activities of this position may include climbing,pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling,stooping, and repetitive motion. Must have good balance and coordination. The physical requirements of this position are: heavy work
