Job description Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care by performing various medical tasks and supporting healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds. Duties Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for adverse reactions. Assist in hospital medicine practices, including patient assessments and care planning. Provide support in medical-surgical settings, ensuring that all protocols are followed. Utilize knowledge of anatomy to assist in diagnostic procedures and patient evaluations. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Respond promptly to emergency medicine situations, providing critical support as needed. Work collaboratively within a hospital environment, contributing to a cohesive healthcare team. Engage with individuals with developmental disabilities and provide appropriate care tailored to their needs. Participate in memory care initiatives, offering compassionate support to patients with cognitive impairments. Manage Durable Medical Equipment (DME) needs for patients, ensuring proper usage and maintenance. The Med tech with CNA/PCA position is a dual role- you will also be doing care for the residents as well as passing medication. Experience Candidates should possess relevant experience in a medical setting, including familiarity with medication administration and hospital protocols. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in memory care is highly desirable. A solid understanding of emergency medicine practices is also beneficial. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a compassionate approach toward patient care.
