Function is carried out in compliance with established corporate, local, state and federal regulations, as well as sound administrative practices. 1. Consults with management to identify specific areas that promote client engagement and is responsible for the implementation of such activities. 2. Responsible for building client rapport and building trust with clients. 3. Welcomes all new client admissions and facilitates client orientation. 4. Maintains client compliance with group attendance. 5. Facilitates afternoon groups for all clients. 6. Identifies withdrawn clients and provides engagement. 7. Provides motivational and inspirational dialogue during down time and in between group. 8. Assists the clinical staff in attempting to block a patient leaving the facility against medical advice through direct communication with the patient. 9. Encourages the continuation of treatment at Parkside facilities upon client discharge. 10. Manages and schedules weekly recreational activities. 11. Participates and manages off-site activities for clients. 12. Assists transportation department when taking clients to outside activities. 13. Maintains a motivational and inspirational environment for clients. 14. Manages the structure and practices for the client morning meeting and wrap up meeting. 15. Receives complaints from patients or family members. Discusses the complaint with the appropriate managers and tries to develop an acceptable resolution to the complaint in line with hospital policy and requirements of the law. 16. Updates all relevant departments on client progress and client concerns. 17. Documents and keeps a running log of patient complaints/ grievances. Reports quarterly reports. 18. Reports to the Clinical Director and/or Administrator unresolved issues for further investigation and resolution. 19. Attends in-service training, seminars, and participates in other educational activities, as required. 20. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
Education:
Associate Degree preferred.
Licensure:
CDCA required, or in the process of obtaining.
Experience:
Two years of experience in a management or operational position and at least two years motivation or inspirational leadership. Experience in a behavioral hospital preferred. Training at the time of hire: Possess the ability to lead through motivational and inspirational techniques. Ability to identify facility atmosphere and gauge activities accordingly. Possess skills required to organize and implement creative activities to promote client engagement. Possess knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
