HAI Education Specialist Job Summary:

TalentSoftware Services is in search of a Patient Navigator / HAIEducation Specialist for a contract position that can be worked100% remotely. The opportunity will be six months with a strongchance for a long-term extension.

Position Summary:

This role is akey member of the HAI Patient Connect program. The individual willfield inquiries from patients and caregivers interested in learningabout Hepatic Artery Infusion (HAI) therapy, a treatment thatdelivers medicine directly to tumors in the liver using animplantable pump. They will provide education and resources tothose considering HAI therapy and may facilitate connections tonearby hospitals that offer HAI therapy. Tracking and regularlyreporting on the progress of the Patient Connect program tomanagement and evaluating opportunities to improve the program arealso part of the responsibilities. Other activities may beperformed as requested by the direct manager.

PrimaryResponsibilities/Accountabilities:

Understand the approved cancerindications for HAI therapy. Develop expertise on the patientexperience with HAI therapy. Ensure timely outreach in response toinquiries. Answer patient/caregiver questions during discussions.

Connect patients with hospitals that offer HAI therapy. Follow upwith additional information and outreach as needed. Haveflexibility to shift hours later one or more days per week forconnecting with patients/caregivers on the West Coast or those whoprefer evening discussions. Other duties may be assigned.

Demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and productquality by maintaining compliance with the Quality Policy and allother documented quality processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (clinically related field is preferred) Minimumof 2-3 years of experience in direct patient care or navigationsettings Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communicationskills and attention to detail Ability to be a great listener andhave empathy in patient communications Ability to communicateprofessionally with patients and customers, verbally and throughemail Ability to follow HIPAA and manage confidential informationin a highly regulated environment Highly organized and punctualCustomer-first mindset, focusing on how to best serve patientsAbility to work with minimal supervision and with a sense ofurgency

Preferred:
