We are currently seeking applicants to fill an immediate need for a Care Navigator (aka Case Manager) to work with foster parents and foster children with Mental Health diagnoses. The ideal candidate should have a master’s degree and a clinical licensure but not required. The current position would be ideal for someone living in or near Burke, McDowell, Buncombe or Catawba Counties, North Carolina, as this would be central to the coverage area. The job requires travel in these areas 2 to 3 times per month depending on the number of weeks in a month to meet state foster home supervision guidelines. Most of your work time would be out of your home.

All applicants MUST have:

• a bachelor’s degree in a human service field • enough work experience to qualify as a child/adolescent mental health qualified mental health professional (QMHP). A QMHP for this position requires a master’s degree with a full or provisional clinical licensure, a master’s degree in a human service-related field with 1-year post-graduate experience working specifically with children (18 and younger) who have a Mental Health diagnosis. Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree in a human service-related field and 2 years post graduate experience working with this population would suffice. This position requires that the applicant have excellent verbal and written communication skills, very good organizational skills with a good understanding of computer skills and use of Microsoft Word and Adobe for PDF documents. •Applicants considered for this position MUST live in North Carolina, otherwise they will be deleted immediately.•
