Status:

Full-Time | 7.5 Hour Shifts Join one of the leading healthcare systems in New Jersey! A-Line staffing is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative I to support our outpatient authorization and precertification processes. This is a vital role in ensuring seamless patient access, accurate insurance verification, and efficient communication with healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

Verify insurance benefits and secure outpatient visit authorizations using payer portals and other tools. Communicate with physician offices and hospital departments to facilitate timely authorizations. Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders. Research insurance coverage criteria and respond to inquiries accurately and professionally. Document all interactions and maintain confidentiality and accuracy in patient records. Collaborate closely with other Patient Access team members and clinical staff.

Required Qualifications:

Experience:

Minimum 1 year of experience in hospital authorization verification is required .

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Skills:

Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word) Strong verbal and written communication Familiarity with payer portals and insurance benefit verification Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team

Shift Schedule:

We offer various shift options across Emergency Department (ED) and Outpatient settings:

ED:

7:00 AM

• 3:00 PM (1 position) 3:00 PM
• 11:00 PM (1 position) 11:00 PM
• 7:00 AM (2 positions)

Outpatient:

6:30 AM
