Job Summary:
The Patient Support Specialist is a critical role within our client’s organization, dedicated to ensuring the seamless delivery of health care services to patients. This role is instrumental in facilitating access to prescription medications and is the primary point of contact for patients, physicians, and pharmacies participating in our client’s copay assistance programs.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide health care services to patients, ensuring access to prescription medications.
Interact directly with patients, physicians, and pharmacies to facilitate our client’s copay assistance programs.
Deliver a high-quality patient experience from start to finish, offering program information, eligibility, reimbursement support, and general assurances.
Respond to inbound and outbound calls from patients, physicians, and pharmacies, addressing their needs and concerns.
Collaborate with internal teams such as Program Management, IT, and other Contact Center teams to resolve issues.
Assist other departments as needed with administrative tasks.
Skills Required:
Experience in a call center or high-volume contact center environment, preferably in health care or case management.
Familiarity with pharmacy benefits, health care insurance, and/or medical billing is a plus.
Proficiency in English/Spanish is a plus.
Experience with Call Center software (Five9, In-Contact, or similar) is a plus.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
High level of empathy, emotional intelligence, and customer focus.
Education Required:
High School Diploma or GED required.
