We provide evidence-based treatment in a residential setting for adult men and women. We are seeking a strong professional to join our team as a Patient Transporter for our facility in Plant City. The Transporter is responsible for driving patients to/from the airport and our facility. Driving may also be to/from our other facilities in Fort Myers and Tampa. He/she may also be performing a wide variety of patient care activities as directed by the Transportation Manager. The Transporter will also assist patients on site to learn and follow rules, regulations, and routines during detoxification and in the residential program.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
- Transport patients in company vehicle between the facilities and airports
- Adhere to time schedules
- Enforce program rules and regulations in a firm but fair manner
- Confront counter-productive behavior appropriately
- Communicate effectively with patients and elicit respect
- Adapt to different types of patients
- Maintain healthy boundaries Conduct searches and drug screens upon admission
Position Requirements:
- Two years of work experience in substance abuse and mental health field
- Experience preferred in addiction recovery
