This job works under direct on-premises supervision of a licensedphysical or occupational therapist and according to detailedinstructions, competency completion, policies and procedures,provides therapeutic modality treatments as assigned, preparestherapy areas and patients for treatments, and transports patientsby use of wheelchairs and stretchers. Maintains all equipment andenvironment to assure that they are clean, operable, and safe.

Certifications None Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-basedapplications. Effective verbal and written communication skills and abilityto present information clearly and professionally to varying levelsof individuals throughout the patient care process. Ability to travel throughout and between facilities. Job Duties Prepares and maintains work area for treatment includingordering of supplies/linen and pharmaceuticals. Orients and mentors new staff in needs of assigned area. Monitors and assists in patient-care as specifically instructedby the therapist according to their competencies. Assists with generalized office and front desk procedures. Transports patients to and from department or room viawheelchair or stretcher as directed by professional staff in a safeand courteous manner. Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, includingbut not limited to respect for privacy, method of introduction tothe patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to beperformed, requesting permissions and communication style.
