Rivers Edge of Lumberton Facility Transporter/PCA Job Description Department:

Transportation/PCA Responsible To:

Resident Care Coordinator and Administrator Job Tasks:

Transport residents to and from doctor appointments. Assist residents in and out of vehicles. Assist on floor in facility when there are no doctor’s appointments. Report to Resident Care Coordinator when returning from doctor’s appointments. Submit mileage logs to Business Office on a weekly basis. Any other duty as assigned by the Resident Care Coordinator or Administrator.

Physical Demands:

Ability to bend, stoop, stretch and lift to assist residents. Ability to lift 25+lbs. will be required to stand, walk, bend over, reach overhead, crouch, kneel, crawl, balance, push pull items. Will be exposed to dust, weather, etc. Repetitive use of both hands and feet. Both hands will need to grasp strongly. Ability to sit for long periods. Ability to drive and follow directions.

Working Conditions:

Working in an area which may have slippery floors, changing temperatures, sharp objects, running water and fumes. Will be outside with residents. Will be in traffic. May be subjected to the following hazards: Injury from falling. Exposed to some physical/verbal abuse from certain residents. Muscle strain from lifting. Traffic Accidents.

Job Specifications:

Valid Class C – North Carolina Driver’s License. Ability to read, interpret and follow written instructions. Ability to follow oral instructions.

$11.50 – $12.75 per hour Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

Schedule:

Monday to Friday Morning shift On call Rotating weekends
