This Group Exercise Coach is responsible for delivering scientifically predesigned workouts for up to 24+ clients per session. The Fitness Coach’s main focus is on a well-rounded theory of fitness, including endurance, strength, power, and using the tools and equipment provided to optimize the participant’s experience and results. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Deliver predesigned workouts to up to 24+ clients in a group setting. Energize and motivate clients throughout workout classes. Build relationships with first-time clients and current members to build session attendance and retain current clientele. Ensure safety of participants in regard to heart rate and exercise techniques. Modify specific exercises to accommodate various skill levels. Ensure cleanliness of fitness equipment and training floor. Attend monthly fitness staff meetings held by assigned regional head coach and required educational presentations. Answer participant workout and/or equipment related questions and maintain a helpful, professional demeanor throughout all interactions. Additional Job Functions Assist with two community studio events per month. Assist with transformation challenge and other inside studio events, as needed. Assist other studio staff with studio tours and sales, as needed. Instruct a minimum of 10 classes per week. Qualifications Must be a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) through a nationally accredited organization (ACE, ACSM, AFAA, NASM, NCSF),or in the process of completing certification, or hold a related degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a similar field. Experience coaching or instructing in a group fitness setting is required. Outgoing, energetic, and motivational personality with a passion for helping others achieve their fitness goals. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and connect with diverse client populations. Sales-minded with a customer service-oriented approach—comfortable recommending packages, promoting studio events, and assisting with member retention efforts. Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced group environment. Basic knowledge of heart rate-based training, strength training, and functional fitness principles. CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Team player mentality—willing to support and collaborate with other staff and contribute to a positive studio culture.
