POSITION DESCRIPTION FOR LEAD TRAINER

As a Burn Boot Camp Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering dynamic and challenging workouts in a group setting to members of all fitness levels. In this role, you must have a strong desire to help members reach their health and fitness goals through pushing them outside of their comfort zone and building confidence through showing them what they’re capable of. Accountability Own your metrics and outcomes—leverage the Trainer Checklist, BCE Checklist, and Scorecard KPIs to track performance. Practice reps and feedback loops are not optional—they’re part of maintaining high standards in real time, every time. Prioritize continuous development by seeking real-time feedback, delivering bi-weekly 1:1s, and leading regular Trainer Meetings for your team. Leadership Set the tone—lead with Burn’s core values: People First, Authenticity, Integrity, Pride in Results. Actively develop training team skills, knowledge and ability – hold training team accountable. Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and performance coaching to ensure the right people are in the right seats across your team. Act as a culture champion, driving lead nurturing, referrals, and community engagement through local events and partnerships. Member Experience Deliver the Blue Carpet Experience—from pre-camp greeting to post-camp follow-up, own every touchpoint that shapes a member’s journey. Use Camp Cards and Trial Trackers to personalize coaching and ensure that members feel seen, heard, and supported. Facilitate community and connection—both inside and outside of camp—by championing social events, focus meetings, and celebrating milestones (ex. Keep Moving Club, PR’s).

REQUIREMENTS

Certified Personal Training certification (or Exercise Science degree with no experience gap) Ability to pass the Burn Boot Camp SAC test CPR/AED certified 3+ years personal training/coaching experience Previous team leadership experience

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Train ~20 camps per week (50% of available). Drive the Blue Carpet Experience for every member, every time. Advocate, lead, and participate in practice reps and feedback loops for continuous development. Promote and conduct focus meetings; aim for 60% member engagement. Maintain a bi-weekly equipment inventory and communicate needs. Lead the training team on member experience, protocol execution, and location growth. Drive trainer interviewing, training, and leadership with Franchise Partner support. Conduct weekly trainer meetings for best practices, development needs, and member feedback. Engage in location social media and marketing, following all standards for a strong presence and high engagement. Support marketing efforts, prioritizing Lead Trainer participation in pop-ups and events. Own joint ventures focused on community, member value, and long-term relationships. Confidently “price present” trial members with the Burn Ambassador to maximize the client experience. Follow up with trial clients for individualized attention. Return equipment, organize the gym, and vacuum the floor after scheduled camps. Promptly report facility needs to the Franchise Partner. Participate in a weekly Leadership meeting (L10) focused on location results, initiatives, goals, events, stories, happenings, and training staff ideas.

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR TRAINING TEAM

The Support Trainer is responsible for upholding company standards and providing an unmatched workout for our clients, while fostering community and helping our clients achieve their goals. In this role, you will be front and center for our most important area of the business, our product. This position requires a strong ability to be a personal trainer in a group setting, motivating multiple clients and providing a positive community for change. The Trainer focuses on lifestyle, including mindset, nutrition, strength and burst training (HIIT), creating an environment of support to exceed our client’s expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Excellent communicator with a strong passion for people, culture, and desire to serve members Valid and acceptable Certified Personal Trainers Certificate or a degree in an exercise science field Valid CPR certification Ability to pass the Burn Boot Camp Strength and Conditioning test (SAC) Ability to multi-task and stay organized, while communicating in a positive and motivating manner Ability to accept and apply constructive feedback Team player with a positive attitude Ability to train all fitness levels and knowledge of physiology, technique, and body mechanics Embodies a hustle and grind focus to achieve goals and growth, personally and professionally Train approximately 5-10 camps per week This position description is not intended to be and should not be construed as an all-inclusive list of responsibilities, skills or working conditions associated with this position.
