The New Orleans JCC is a state-of-the-art fitness center and pool, a leader in New Orleans early childhood education, a fun-filled summer day camp and so much more. The Group Aquatic Instructor’s role is to promote fun and at the same time create effective and challenging exercise routines.

What You’ll Do:

Responsible for planning and instructing group fitness Motivate individuals or groups in exercise activities. Work with people of all ages and skill levels. Provide a safe and fun environment for participants. Ensure the exercise space is clean and free of health and safety hazards. Instruct participants on effective workout methods, explain proper techniques and demonstrate the exercise. Good communication skills; ability to explain things clearly. Must be reliable. Maintains good public relations and keeps supervisors informed of customer and facility needs. Maintains records of participation and completes required reports. At all times, demonstrates cooperative behavior with colleagues, supervisors, and the public. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Perks! 25% Employee JCafe Discount 401k

Contributions Complimentary Fitness Membership What You’ll Bring:

Aquatic fitness certification by, the Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), The Aquatic & Fitness Professional Association International (AFPA), and Aquatic Fitness Professional {AEA). Group fitness certification by ACE, AFAA, NASM, and ACSM. CPR/First Aid certification is required. Experience working with participants with different ages, skill levels, and varying physical and emotional abilities. Works well with other staff members of the JCC using positive and effective interpersonal communication skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a diverse community.

Schedule:
