Certified Pilates Instructor Daruma Yoga & Fitness 1626 Dutch Broadway, Elmont, NY 11003 Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pilates Instructor to join our fitness team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fitness and a commitment to helping clients achieve their health and wellness goals through Pilates. This role requires a deep understanding of body mechanics, anatomy, and the ability to educate clients on proper techniques while fostering a motivating and supportive environment. Duties Conduct engaging Pilates classes for individuals and groups, ensuring that all participants receive personalized attention. Educate clients on the principles of Pilates, focusing on body mechanics and proper form to maximize benefits and minimize injury risks. Design class programs that cater to various fitness levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. Provide modifications and progressions for exercises to accommodate individual client needs. Foster a positive atmosphere that encourages client retention and promotes overall wellness. Assist in fitness sales initiatives by promoting Pilates classes and related services within the health club or gym environment. Qualifications Certification as a Pilates Instructor from a recognized organization is required. Strong knowledge of anatomy, body mechanics, and fitness principles. Experience in health club settings or personal training is preferred; experience with cardio kickboxing is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate clients effectively.
